MS Fling is a light-hearted glimpse into the wonderfully disjointed world of life with multiple sclerosis. It doesn’t dwell on the gloom or the science but instead embraces the quirks, mishaps, and unexpected turns that come with living in a body that doesn’t always play by the rules. Think of it as a gentle chuckle in the fog — a way of sharing the frustrations and absurdities of MS while keeping spirits lifted and reminding readers that even in the chaos, there’s still room for humour and humanity.
Who is this Site For?
This space is for anyone newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis who doesn’t know where to turn and feels overwhelmed, alone, or isolated. If that’s you — know this: you are not alone. There is a whole community of MSers and fellow Spoonies out here, ready to share experiences, offer a listening ear, and remind you that your journey is understood. This site exists to lighten the load, spark a smile, and let you know that while MS can be unpredictable, connection and support are always within reach.
Who am I?
I’m Stephen Walker, and I’ve been living with multiple sclerosis for more than three decades. Diagnosed back in 1994, I’ve wrestled with its unpredictability, adapted to its challenges, and learned (often the hard way) that humour and resilience are just as essential as medication. I like to think of myself not as a warrior with a sword, but as an engineer with a toolkit — patching, tinkering, and finding ways to keep life running even when the circuits misfire. This blog is my way of sharing the lessons, the laughs, and the occasional laments from a life shaped, but not defined, by MS.
